History and Arts in Little Falls

Take a step back in time and also enjoy great local arts as you visit Little Falls.

Start out with some classic home cooking at the West Side Cafe to fuel your morning before the adventures begin. Then begin your morning of historic fun at the Minnesota Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame. The Minnesota Fishing Museum (MFM) is a place where angling memories come alive, and stories are told of days gone by. The collection of over 10,000 artifacts related to Minnesota fishing is beautifully displayed and lovingly maintained at 304 West Broadway in Little Falls, Minnesota. Continue your trip to the past at the Minnesota Military Museum. A welcoming place for families, groups, members of the Armed Forces, veterans, military history buffs, and anyone interested in learning more about Minnesota's history and military heritage. Finally, check out Little Falls' claim to fame at the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum. Come and learn more about the complex legacy of one of Minnesota’s most famous citizens. At Snapshot Saturdays, held from 1-3 pm on the second Saturday of each month.

After all that history diving, it's time to grab a quick bite at Charlie's Pizza, a laid-pack pizza joint serving up all of the delicious classics. Then it's time to soak up some art and do some shopping in Little Falls. First, head over to the Shoppes of Little Falls, home to more than 80 local artisans and vendors offering home décor, jewelry, clothing, kitchen accessories, handmade soaps and lotions, and gifts. Then get artsy with a trip to Great River Arts, where creativity meets community. This downtown art gallery and retailer also has weekly events and performances.

Time to unwind with a flight of great local brews at Starry Eyed Brewing Company as you reminisce on a busy, fun day. Then plan on a laid back dinner at Beer Belly's Bar & Grill or a tropical taste bud trip at Little Fiesta. Finally, before you turn in, satisfy your sweet tooth at Lindy Scoop Ice Cream Shoppe, the newest addition to Little Falls historic downtown. Then you can end your day of history and art at the Country Inn and Suites. This newly remodeled hotel includes a luxurious swimming pool and is conveniently located off on Hwy 10 in Little Falls.
